what is Neuromuscular therapy

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) utilizes structural assessment and structural corrections, using Muscle Energy Techniques (METS), to create balance and symmetry for the body. These corrections provide a stable foundation for effective work on specific issues. NMT addresses issues ranging from migraines, frozen shoulder, sciatica, and also includes traumatic brain injuries. It is also effective in treating those who have been in motor vehicle accidents, or have had some kind of injury, and need help with recovery and rehabilitation. Aside from treating specific issues, NMT assists those who want to maintain structural integrity, along with lengthened muscles, in order to have continued mobility, and a feeling of overall wellness and balance. The pressure used during NMT is determined by the client, whether light or deep tissue. Either are advantageous to effective NMT treatment, as long as there is no pain. Effective pressure is also essential not only to keep the client from being in pain, but to prevent a pain response from the body.
